Open Decks. Real Culture.

A DJ collective built on open decks, real mentorship, and the culture that raised us. We throw the nights, teach the craft, and keep the underground loud.

More than a party.
It's a scene.

Faders & Friends started with a simple idea: give DJs a room of their own. No gatekeeping, no ego at the door. Just decks, a crowd, and people who want you to get better.

From packed brewery nights to open-deck sessions where first-timers go back to back with veterans, we're building the community we always wished existed, one city at a time.

"It's not a clique, it's a family. You show up once and you're in. Best DJ community in Texas, period."

Before you pull up

I've never DJ'd in front of people. Can I still play?
That's literally what open decks is for. Sign up when you arrive, grab a slot, and play. The room is full of people who remember their own first set, nobody's judging.
How do I get an open deck slot?
Show up early and put your name down. Slots go first come, first served. Join the list below and you'll get a heads-up before each night so you can plan ahead.
Do I need to bring my own gear?
No. Decks, mixer, and sound are set up at every event. If you play on something specific, like your own controller, bring it and we'll get you plugged in.
Is it free?
Open deck nights are community events, entry details go out with each announcement. Workshops vary by session. Follow the list below and you'll always know before doors.
Which cities are you in?
Home base is Houston, with Austin and Detroit joining the rotation. If you want us in your city next, tell us, that's how expansion happens.
